Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub has the most satellite receiver in the area. This is great for your game day viewing because more receivers plus a whole lot of monitors means more different games being shown at the same time. As a matter of fact we guarantee you'll get your game by your table. Just ask! We call it Video On Demand.
Who Will It Be?
Employee of the Month is our way of acknowledging those who go above and beyond in offering Mother Hubbard's hospitality.

Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub is already the place where visiting athletes, coaches and owners visit to console a loss or celebrate a victory, but it is also the Chicago sports bar of choice for the refs, umps and officials who keep the games fair and safe.
Earlier this week, Mother Hubbard's was pleased to host a group of not only our local MLB and NHL officials, but their visiting brothers in service. And no, they are never questioned or razzed about a call, even against our Cubs, Sox and Hawks. We recognize it's hard work making an instant judgement call on what is sometimes an impossible play (no guarantees, though, the we won't ask you to pose for a "Yer Out" photo for our Facebook timeline).
Speaking of our safety and brothers in service, Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub was also host this week to a very special group of US servicemen who no doubt prefer to remain nameless. Gentlemen, it was a pleasure to have you. Consider yourselves honored guest anytime business brings you near Chicago. Just remember to change out of your work clothes first.

National Hockey League Viewing Headquarters
Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub will be televising every game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. You'll be able to catch every shot, save or score while enjoying River North's largest selection of draft beers, our hand-formed burger, or our famous Sloppy Hockey.
Games begin Wednesday April 11 and will run into June. That's right, not only can you watch all the NHL action, but at the same time you can keep up with our Cubs and Sox (or other home team favorites for you visitors).

The Frozen Four NCAA Men's Hockey semi-finals will be held in Tampa, Florida, but you can watch it in Chicago's River North neighborhood at Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub. The first game is at 3:30 Thursday April 5th with the Championship on Saturday April 7th.
The remaining teams are:
Anyone caught tweeiting "Chillin' @MotherHubbards watching Frozen Four" will be put on the big screen and honored for their super hero-like self confidence in using the word Chillin'.
"Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose has found a new home to match his sky-high game: a condominium in the Trump International Hotel & Tower" says Crain's Chicago Business in a recent post. Click here to read more.
The article notes that the Trump Tower makes one sweet bachelor pad and we couldn't agree more. Especially when you're late night walking distance from Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub. Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane is also a Trump Tower neighbor.
We won't suggest that Mother Hubbard's presence had anything to do with their choice of neighborhood or that the famous developer chose the old Sun-Times location for the short walk to Chicago's finest, old-fashioned, hand-made burger. We'll only note that we were here first.

Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub is all about college hoop (at least for the next couple of weeks). We eat, sleep and roll our hand-formed, old-fashioned burgers thinking about basketball.
And why not? No one in River North (that's Chicago speak for that neighborhood just across the river from the downtown Loop) can show more games at one time thanks to our 28 sattelite receivers and over 40 TV monitors.
You know, it's the number or receivers, not monitors, that determines how many different games can be shown at the same time. So keep your head on a swivel and get in here for your share of Madness.

Bonus: Figure out which two seats in the house let you see almost every monitor (provided you've got your head on that swive)!
Join us for our 19th Annual Super Bowl Extravaganza, Sunday Feb 5th. There will be door prizes, raffles and our famous towel and t-shirt toss throughout the game. The first 100 people to arrive will get a square in out free pool.
While we cannot accept reservations, if every member of your group is present before 3:30 a table will be yours!. After that it is first come, first seated. Can't make it until later? Don't let that stop you from dropping in. The fun, food and drink lasts late into the evening.
Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub makes it a special, fun experience whether your team wins or loses.

Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve!

This weekend San Diego Chargers fans discover a local favorite in Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub.
While Sunday's Bears/Chargers game likely has something to do with the west coast feel at Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub this weekend, we think it might be that our reputation for Chicago style pizza and delicious ribs has spead as far as the California coast.
Shiuttle busses to/from Sundays game leave a few blocks from Mother Hubbard's, ask a staff member of details. Also keep in mind that that our kitchen is open until 3:30 A.M. every night.
Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub is San Diego East for the weekend!

The Alumni of The Citadel, the military college located in Charleston, South Carolina, 25 strong were in last Saturday to watch their school against their rival VMI ( Virginia Military Institute).
A unique challenge for a Chicago sports bar as the game was only available over the Internet. Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub, no ordinary sports restaurant, was able to stream the signal and convey it to our large Plasmas. Internet only sports broadcasts are available in few sports bars and only one in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
Streaming sports viewing aside, The Citadel Bulldogs were victorious 41 to 14, a happy ending for The Citadel Alumni and for Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub who now has many new friends.
Recently during the International Association of Police Chiefs Conference in Chicago, Illinois, a number of Chiefs of Police visited Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub to watch the NFL games and munch some of our jumbo Wings. Mother Hubbard's Sports Pub loves the fact that our President enjoys a beer every now and again. But don't think that just because he's Chicago's very own we would discriminate when it comes to drawing a draught. We encourage both sides of the aisle, all a parties actually, to join us in River North for great beer, delicious food and of course, one of the best sports watching experiences in town. We do encourage caution when discussing politics, we want everyone to remain friends.
Mr. President, may we recommend the ribs with your Guiness.
Mother Hubbards Sports Pub continues to be the spot where visiting teams players watch the other games while they are in town. Russ Mitchell, third baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers had a Mother Hubbards stuffed burger at the bar on Sat. This was after he hit a two out, bottom of the ninth inning Home Run to tie the game against our White Sox on Friday night. Russ was with a couple of other Dodger team mates. White Sox still took 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers.

One of Doug Davis' first stops in Chicago was at Mother Hubbards Sports Pub for one of the Mother Hubbards stuffed burgers. It is just the fuel he needed to face the World Champion Giants at Wrigley Field.
Our Chicago Bulls are involved in some great NBA playoff contests. However, we can not overlook that the Detroit Red Wings are on the verge of History. They were down 3 games to 0 last week against the San Jose Sharks and on Thursday they will be playing to see who advances. They have come from behind and tied their series at 3 games a piece!
